Change of Plans - First Stop, Nashville Print E-mail
Gatlinburg was supposed to be our first stop - to break up the long ride to Richmond and give us a chance to enjoy some snow.  So naturally we find ourselves in Nashville.  Are you at all surprised at this point?  Since it snowed right before we left home, we had gotten our fill and decided to stop here instead.  We have cousins here that we won't be able to see for over a year and the boys are having a blast with them.  I have a feeling much of our trip will be this way.  The plans that we made will be loosely followed.  Some places that we hoped to see will get passed by and others will be added.  That's to be expected. Dan and I were invited to the National Religious Broadcasters Convention going on here in Nashville through Wednesday March 12th.  It's an opportunity for us to share with Christian radio and TV broadcasters what we're doing.  We'll see what comes of it.  We passed out a few business cards and a couple of flyers about our trip.  The rest is up to God.  That was cool, but now it's time to get back to reality.

First of all, my necklaces cannot hang on a hook over the shower door.  The clanging while we drive is making me nuts.  Second, the kids' clothes cannot be stored in the compartment under our bed.  It's too heavy to lift every day.  We need to do a little rearranging.  Third, the back of the van is piling up with dirty clothes.  We don't have a washer/dryer in the motorhome, so we'll have to visit a laundromat.   I expect to do 5 loads a week.  Imagine...all of your laundry for the week done in 2 1/2 hours.  Sounds better to me than 2 loads a day.  Hey...I bet if I volunteer to do the laundry I could get 2 hours all to myself.

No, no one at all will be surprised at a change in itinerary. Hmmm, being spontaneous versus being predictable...let's think about that one for a minute.

Here's a new fundraising idea for you though...how about a new coffee table book (no, not a coffee table book on coffee tables, not that there's anything wrong with that Kramer), but this..."Laundromats across America!!"

Get on the road again...there's a lot of white lines and asphalt between Nashville and Richmond!!

Later...

David.
