Houston - Nan and Papa's house Print E-mail
20081119_5631.jpg Nan and Papa live in Houston, so we didn't have far to drive to our next destination.  We had been there once before in the motorhome on a practice run, so it was familiar territory.  This time, we paid to park the RV without hook-ups (only $5/day) and stayed at the "Casa de Mom and Dad".  Ahhhh...  Lots of room to spread out.  Lovely.  While we were there we toured the Johnson Space Center (sorry TX, but the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL is WAY better).  We also took a boat tour of the Port of Houston , one of the busiest shipping channels in the world, and learned about the importance of the harbor to trade relations.  Other than that, we did school as usual, relaxed, made a few Christmas presents, and surveyed our collection of t-shirts.  The kids are going to have some gigantic quilts, but they're going to be amazing.  Can't wait to see them finished.
