20081112_5688.jpg On to San Antonio - the Alamo , the Riverwalk, and our buddies the Dageraths!  We wanted to see the sights, but who's kidding...we went mostly to see our friends.  One of the benefits of living on the road is being able to visit friends that live far away.  They had moved just before we hit the road and we hadn't seen much of them.  Our boys get along fabulously (they have 4 boys), and they are homeschooled as well, which allowed us to spend a lot of time with them during the week we were there.  Mason and Griffin went to a co-op class with them, which they really enjoyed.  Then we schlepped them over to the Alamo - only the 4th or 5th time they've seen it.  But the highlight of the week was Mason's 9th birthday party.  Our campground was so posh (a heated outdoor pool and even a massage therapist on staff!) that we decided to have a pool party.  That was a first for our November baby!  Taking things a step further, some of our closest friends from home FLEW IN for the party! (Dad is a pilot)  Mason had no idea they were coming.  You should have seen his face!  The splishing and splashing at the pool was followed by fun and games at Incredible Pizza.  Lots of kids.  Lots of laughter.  Lots of fun.  That was a truly memorable birthday.
